(NLMK Group) heat supply system water treatment / 2017
Novolipetsk Metallurgical Complex
Phase III Makeup Water Treatment Upgrade used for HVAC: The project replaced the obsolete clarifiers and the dual-bed mechanical filters with Dyclar dynamic clarification process. The co-current SAC filter (in the Na+ form) was replaced with counter-current SAC filters. The project has also upgraded the demineralized water unit of 1,000 m3/h capacity.
Project resulted in decrease of salts and ion exchange resin consumption by a factor of two.
